NARACOORTE LIBRARY FEASIBILITY STUDY

We have been engaged by the Naracoorte Lucindale Council to prepare a report analysing the current services provided by the Naracoorte Public Library, and how the communities needs will be serviced by the library into the future. This involved conducting a detailed audit of the current libraries facilities, and providing an estimate of costs to repair.

The report also analyses opportunities for siting the library and detailed community consultation, in order to give the council an
understanding of what services the community would like to be provided by the public library.

Community needs are reviewed together with current trends in library design, to allow us to develop a fully functioning working brief, with a schedule of areas which has allowed us to
develop a series of design qualities for the future library. As part of the report we have developed a number of masterplan options, based on the brief. Working together with a quantity surveyor, we have provided detailed cost estimates for the proposed future stages of work to facilitate council decision making and grant funding applications.
